I did, in fact, make Eli stick a thermometer in the bird before he declared it done. (Eli's technique is much more sensual: "It's done when the thigh juices run clear.") My brother has a really fancy one that has two parts connected by a wire. You stick the metal part in the chicken and then the little digital display sits outside the oven and it beeps when it gets to the desired temperature. Mine isn't as cool as that, but still very helpful. Eli's chicken looks delicious!Rollinnoreply@blogger.com
