November 2

Hey there.

I hope you're enjoying your cake. I'm back today because I have a plan for November, a little thing called NaBloPoMo. That's right, it's National Blog Posting Month and I've decided to play along by posting something here every weekday all month long.

I'm doing this for a few reasons, the biggest and best being that I think it will be fun. I like it here! Also, I wonder sometimes what it might look like if I were to shake things up a bit, try out some different kinds of posts, take some risks. Just, you know, untether myself from the way I usually fill this space and see what comes out. I'm not exactly sure what that means for the coming month, but I have a few ideas. And hey, is there something that you might like to see here? Something you'd like to discuss? Shoot me an e-mail or leave a note in the comments section, and I'll consider it.

Ready, then? Let's go!

Go you! I remember when Luisa did this several years ago and how, a few days in, I was looking forward to each day's new post. I've always wanted to try it and never had the nerve, ha! Looking forward to following along!

You've inspired me, Jess. I'm signing up right now! I too am interested to see what end up on the paper as I'm stretched to write and photograph in a different way. Thanks for the nudge!

I very nearly did this this year as a kick start but chickened out! Looking forward to reading your daily posts.

Yay! I love that you're doing this, Jess! I'd love to see a post about your academic life, and it may be cheating, but you should do at least one post just full of pictures because I love them times 1,000.

Katie - Ha! Was just contemplating an all-photo post, maybe for tomorrow. I think you've just tipped the balance.

More Mia ... all the time. Mia eating, Mia fashion, Mia's funky crawl, Mia blowing kisses at commuters, etc.

Jess! I'd never heard of NaBloPoMo, but when I read your post I knew I had to participate. I need a kick in the butt and this is perfect. I missed a day, but I figure an extra day in December will make up for it.

Looking forward to your month of posts!

Oh, and I passed by Oliv in Berlin and thought of you (too crowded to stop in too much shopping to do before the stores closed).

I get the feeling that a few of you are interested in... Mia. Hmmm. I'll see what I can do.

Talley - and Sam and Gayle, above - hooray! Looking forward to following along.

I'm catching up on your past few days and I, for one, am happy for any chance to read more of what you have to say! Ironically, I've been posting daily for almost a year but missed yesterday in favor of sleep after a few rough nights up with my 1-year-old (and, occasionally, her older sisters as well!). So I guess this is BloPoLessMo for me. :)

emmycooks - Every day for a YEAR? That's amazing. You're amazing. I have noticed that you are prolific, but I didn't realize for how long you've been cranking it out... Way to go! As for missing that one measly day, don't give it a second thought. You obviously have your priorities straight.
