"its light pretending not to move"

Move along, now. Nothing to see here. Just some Memorial Day sun and backyard barbeque.

I am very cold today.

And now, I want a burger.

[The title of this post is a line from "To This May" by W. S. Merwin. Full poem here.]

  1. It is very cold. Yet I insist on wearing skirts with tights. Roasting just looking at backyard barbeque. And now, I want a burger...

  5. Ah, Tracy, this is the number one thing on my mind when I check the weather in the morning: Just how torturous would my walk to the library be were I to don a skirt and tights? I braved it for a while, but lately the library itself has been intolerably cold, so I've been opting for long underwear and jeans.

Thank you, Amanda, and thank you Jodi!

    Char, yes, burgers for everyone!

  8. You're very welcome, Lecia!

Rogue Unicorn - I love the blue, too. It comes across so beautifully on this particular film.

You'll be light enough, dear Lisa. Come home soon. xo.

Thanks, Suzi. Winter marmalade! That sounds like an excellent project. Funny you should mention The Blue Chair Jam Cookbook. Just after I read your note, I saw this. What a beautiful book!
